How to reduce noise density - meetdilip - 03-12-2020

These are made by duplicating the same text layer

[attachment=4050]

First one is Fliters > Noise > CIE Ich Noise and the second one is made using a custom pattern I built from a noise image. My initial goal way to make the second for which I had to use the pattern.

I was hoping to learn how to make the density of noise less in the output. Currently, it is either too much noise or medium noise. No way to do as in the one created by the pattern ( less noise ).

Any help will be great. Thanks.

Render the noise on another layer and then reduce its opacity?

Are you using linux ? That font looks like ubuntu .

You could try the felimage plugin, Both Win and linux versions here: http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=17775

Play with the settings:

Tried that. Not 100 % effective.

Yes, I am using Ubuntu 18.04. I will try the plugin. Smile
