XCF thumbnails in Windows Explorer - vanwilliam1960 - 05-27-2021

How can I get Windows 10 File Explorer to show thumbnails of XCF files? I would be happy if gimp's file explorer would show all the thumbnails, instead of just one file at a time.

I do not know if you can with Windows explorer. Anything associated with Gimp shows as a Gimp icon here.

I generally use linux, but hunt around for a Windows photo file manager. Try out XnViewMP  http://www.xnview.com It supports the latest Gimp .xcf files.

This Windows Explorer and XnViewMP. Right click on an icon and open with... (F3) Did not take any setting up here, F3 and Gimp opens with the image.
