2.10.28 - meetdilip - 09-21-2021

Hi, do you think I should update my 2.10.24  (setup from GIMP.org) to 2.10.28 ? If yes, how to do that ?

I am not sure whether I should. Because everything (including plugins) is working perfectly right now.

For your Windows installation. Just download the installer from http://www.gimp.org. Run it and the installer uninstalls the existing and installs the new Gimp 2.10.28

The Gimp user profile C:\Users\"yourname"\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10 is not part of the installation process and remains between any installs, keeping all your settings and any added resources, brushes / scripts / plugins intact.

The only thing that will need updating is the gimp_gmic_qt plugin and you need to use the pre-3.0 version https://gmic.eu/files/prerelease/gmic_gimp2.10_win64.exe

...on the other hand, if your existing setup is ok then wait a little for any more Gimp 2.10.28 bugs to appear.

Yeah like rich2005 said, and especially If you do a living with GIMP (use it for your job), I would wait 1 or 2 months to be sure everything is OK...
