What is the Black-Blue dashed border line about? - Gimpquester - 11-04-2021

Im not having any functional issues using gimp right now but am curious about what those two black-blue dashed lines near the top of my image are for and how to get rid of them.

They are guides, not part of image, can be saved for future use when you save your work as a Gimp .xcf

see: https://docs.gimp.org/2.10/en/gimp-concepts-image-guides.html

Remove them using the menu Image -> Guides -> Remove all guides
