I don't know what this pinging thing is. But I got this:

Hardwiring "158.106.134.15 gimpchat.com" in my /etc/hosts seems to work. This said if Omega doesn't renew the name ownership quickly GC is going to become a very closed community.

Thanks ofnuts that works. I've never used my pc as a domain name server before so it's very funny.

I wonder if Omega can go into the backoffice section and read the comments there?

Hasn't been working for us in Australia (That is for me and OMG) and Wallace said he can't get it either. We keep getting this page 'This domain has recently been registered' Still called Gimp Chat but nothing there. Oh and this had been for nearly 24 hours here now.

I have just tried Ofnuts' method. Works for me.

For Windows users:
Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Open the file hosts in Notepad++ (i did not try Notepad)
Asks if you want run Notepad++ in administrator mode - Yes
Add the line 158.106.134.15 gimpchat.com to file.
Save

gimpchat.com's domain registration was updated at 2021-11-07T08:01:55Z it's extended for a year until 2022-11-06T04:20:35Z.
