Black and white only - meetdilip - 11-09-2021

Hi, I have this image where the background is a white coloured layer I added after fetching the outline from the coin. I am trying to make this impression pure black. But couldn't make it so by using Invert or levels or Curve. It would be nice to have some help with this one. Thanks.

There are a few ways but have another look at using the colour curve tool.

Drag the curve down to the bottom right.
That leaves a jaggy image (other ways such as threshold do the same) so introduce some anti-aliasing. The Gimp anti-aliasing is very basic so go into gmic search for anti-aliasing and use one of the filters.

Thanks. I should have merged it with the white background. I was working on the transparent one and it was hard.
