Polaroid Effect - richiie - 02-14-2022

Hey Gimp fam,

Hope yall are doing great. I am working on adding a polaroid effect to a set of pictures I took similar to the one below.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eSYQC8N6tACs9zQjs44Gsx2EPMuUqQbT/view?usp=sharing

However, I would like to change the text on the side of the borders "KODAK PORTRA..." to my artist handle "VISUALS BY RICH" while still maintaining the font, glow, etc.

Can y'all please give me the steps on how to do this.

Thanks and happy Vday, my heart goes out to all of you Smile

For an overlay I have attached a little Gimp file where you can add your own text. Have a look at it, see how it is built up.
Just the text, then for a bit of an outer glow do:
1) A small Gaussian blur, default 1.5  Filters -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur
2) Filters -> Light & Shadow -> Drop Shadow (GEGL) use a red color and set  x and y = zero

Then you can use that as an overlay.

A bit on the long side 4 1/2 minutes but what I might do https://youtu.be/M58ud3blVFo
