Anyone Else Having Unresponsive Issues - dadada_486 - 10-07-2017

Hello,

I am running Gimp on Mac OS Sierra. However, i'm having quite serios unresponsive issue. Its almost like a crash, where for example you try to export a photo and the buttons become unresponsive and you can do nothing but cancel the window. The only fix is to reload and hop it doesn't occur. Any fixes for this?

I downloaded GIMP onto a macOS Sierra Virtual Machine and it seems to work well, exporting photos is no problem also.
So, not sure why it's doing that for you -  is your version the latest version from http://www.gimp.org?

When it goes unresponsive, is the system showing a lot of disk activity (by the way SSD or hard disk?) or a lot of CPU usage?

What says Edit>Preferences>Environment>Tile cache size and is set to something decent (at least half you RAM)?
