how to make 'Apply abstract profile' icc files - denzjos - 08-26-2022
Can I make icc files in gimp that the 'Apply abstract profile' plugin understand (found in 'Colours/Apply abstract profile' after placed in the gimp plugin folder)

Going by Yoshinori Yamakawa is this about the separate+ plugin Is that correct or something else ?
That plugin plug-in-icc-colorspace-apply-abstract-profile is not there in the linux version. Can you give details of where the plugin comes from.

Some time since I tried out separate+ It was for Gimp 2.6 - barely worked with Gimp 2.8 and does not work with Gimp 2.10 I cannot remember that "Apply abstract profile" filter. For anyone interested it works something like this:
In the zip is a folder abstract-profiles containing L_invert.icc old_photo.icc Red&Black.icc Red&Green.icc
Put those .icc files in C:Windows\system32\spool\drivers\color and re-start Windows to take effect.
Now you can use that filter to apply the profile: https://i.imgur.com/DnbokdP.mp4

That is the 64 million euro question. At the moment, I do not know. The four icc's describe themselves as Lab colour space. Not RGB for Gimp to use and not CMYK for the Cyan plugin.
Needs investigation
However, it is very like the g'mic plugin color-presets filters

rich, thanks for the information. I've tried some icc files generated with rawtherapee but I could not not use them in 'Apply abstract profile'. As you mentioned, G'Mic-Qt have lots of stuff to make a design weird or beautiful. So, let's say this plugin is passed over by new and better things. I send the plugin direction dust bin.
