Trying To Locate Gimp In C Drive While In Gimp - zodiakteez - 08-27-2022 I'm trying to add a custom pattern however I cant locate GIMP on my drive through the gimp application( File-->Export-->OS©-->users> (name)-->application Data(appdata roaming is where gimp is stored when I search for gimp) once I click on this option the preview box on the right is empty. I cant save the custom pattern without finding Gimp ( I can search my computer and locate the file, however when I search through the gimp app while exporting to save in gimp I can not find it). Can anyone help? Im using windows 11 Latest version of Gimp 2.0 RE: Trying To Locate Gimp In C Drive While In Gimp - rich2005 - 08-27-2022 The place for Gimp patterns in Windows is C:\Users\"yourname"\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\patterns Appdata is a 'hidden' folder so un-hide it see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/view-hidden-files-and-folders-in-windows-97fbc472-c603-9d90-91d0-1166d1d9f4b5 If you still cannot find it, you can get there from the Gimp menu Edit -> Preferences folders (1) Gives the location (2) and the top right icon (3) opens in Windows Explorer. [attachment=8549] You can export as a Gimp .pat or a .png A Gimp .pat has the advantage of a description. Basically it is knowing your computer. No good looking in your MS cloud storage. You need to look in the C: drive and the Users -> Your Name folders.
