I don't know the reasons behind this decision.

It's disheartening to see so much work, dedication and time invested simply evaporate overnight.

It reminded me a little of the GimpLearn.net case.

Maybe Mahvin is fed up with maintaining the site. It happens.

Indeed it's disheartening as it feels that people get less and less interest in GIMP Confused
At least Mahvin lets people prepare themself...
