Avatar not showing up - tomatoSauce23 - 09-22-2024

Why isn't my avatar displaying anywhere? I just get a placeholder image instead on my avatar. The jpg I used was 90x90 pixels and 21kb in size.

Hello everyone,

I am reopening this discussion because I have the exact same problem (I searched and saw other discussions like this).
I went to my profile and, under “Change Avatar”, I tried to upload some files in different formats (jpg and png), all under 25kB, but it doesn't seem to work. It doesn't even show me any kind of error message (in fact, it says “Your avatar has been successfully changed”).

I also tried linking an image on Imgur, but in that case I get an error message: “The URL you entered for your avatar does not appear to be valid. Please ensure you enter a valid URL.”

What can I do?

This is the image I would like to use:

There is  a small bug in the forum software and I have to nudge the database from time to time.

I had the same problem where my avatar wasn't displaying. The pixel count and file size were correct. Despite uploading it several times, nothing happened. Only after I had the appropriate Gravarar URL created by the API and then copied it into the corresponding field did the avatar upload and display correctly.
