brushes interface on the right side?
#1
Bug
I can not find a tutorial how to fix the brushes pane, on the right side of the screen.  It shows a drop down list at the top and at the bottom.  right now none of my brushes show up there so i cannot pick them.  How on earth does that work?  I tried googling and all i get is how to add brushes etc.

not how to use that pane!  i have clicked all of them on both lists and still nothing.  i have done them top and not bottom and vise versa.   i have them all off and still nothing.

Ok i got all the brushes back. Now can someone please explain the filter at the bottom of the pane?  how do you use that one?  thank you very much.

Do you have a filter set?
You may have set a filter that does not contain any brushes.

Probably as Blighty indicated, you have a filter in force.

I did write a bit about filters and tags some time ago

https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Brushes-and-Tags  Not a wonderful read. But the advice at the bottom of that is valid.

Totally screwed up the tags you assigned? Go to your gimp profile and delete the file tags.xml Gimp will create a new default file next start up.

Caught me just as I was closing down for the night. So a very rough video on the subject.

yes i got them all back, by clearing all the top ones you are pointing at in the pic.  In your pic at the bottom of the brushes there is another drop down box showing the same things as the top one.  What is that box for?  And thank you.
