text on curve
#1
Perhap someone more adept at GIMP can shed some light on a little problem.  I am doing the "text along a curve" thing, but soon get stopped in my track (or curve?)  When I click on  "text along path", the text gets obliterated  by a bunch of  "air bubbles" as you can see in the attachment.  Why do I get this and how can I prevent it happening?

Those are control points on the generated path. Why? You probably went straight from text tool to path tool to text along path. Any number of ways to show just the path. Easiest is choose some tool other than the path tool. Another way is look in the paths dock and click on the other path.
