@Ofnuts : I had the trouble on many computers, Win7 and 10, differents gimp's releases and 2 different tablets, same model : bamboo pen and touch.
and it start around 2008. As an robotic guys, I use to "seek and destroy" troubles
It look like mouse moves and gimp swithes tools. But. . . . it continues with no mouse connected.
