Problem posting an update to my plugin

I tried to post a new thread for my updated pl_stroke_arrows plugin, and was granted the "Your are in violation with the forum's rules" message, with a link to said rules.

I don't get what part of my message did upset the forum filter, my post was similar to the previous update.

Any idea what could be wrong?

I noticed this forum was down for awhile today. These errors are quite common and are mostly mysql database errors. From memory they usually mean stopping and re-starting the database but they need expert attention. Congratulations to the admins at Gimp-Forum

There is a 64K limit on SCM and 128K on PY, which should be enough.

Notifications going straight to spam

For a long time now any email notifications from Gimp-Forum.net have gone straight to the on-line spam folder (not the one in Thunderbird) of my yahoo.co.uk email. This afternoon I thought I would change the email address used by Gimp-Forum.net to a talktalk.net account - this also goes straight to the on-line spam folder

Is this forum (or its host) blacklisted by all email providers? (not that I will be able to see any responses unless I look here or log-in to webmail to check the spam folder )

Is there nothing that can be done to fix this?

La question est dans le titre (je n'ai pas pu faire plus court...) : dans Fichier>Ouvrir, est-il possible d'avoir des grandes étiquettes images ? Car apparemment, par défaut, on a à gauche la liste des photos et pour les visualiser à droite il faut cliquer dessus une par une :

Y-a-t-il moyen d'avoir directement une sorte de "planche contact" de toutes les photos du dossier ?

Bonjour,
nouvellement inscrit sur ce forum, j'ai créé mon compte sur un petit PC portable.
Alors le forum était en français.
Mais je travail principalement sur un Mac de bureau. Et lorsque je me connecte sur mon Mac, le forum s'ouvre en anglais.
J'ai fouillé un peu partout, mais impossible de trouver un onglet pour passer en français.
Je ne comprend pas un mot d'anglais.
Pouvez vous m'aider a traduire le forum en français?

Operating System Windows 11

When I registered, I was asked what operating system I was using. I chose "Windows Vista or 7, 8, 10 (64-bit)" because Windows 11 wasn't on the list.

My first post was about a GIMP issue that seemed to occur only under Windows 11, not under Windows 10. A few days ago another new member reported a similar issue -- also, as it happens, under Windows 11.

Since Microsoft won't be supporting Windows 10 for much longer, there are likely to be more and more Windows 11 users here in the future. Could we make it easier for them to identify themselves on their profiles, just in case other Windows-version-related issues turn up?

Policy change

Due to the inordinate amount of spamming (we manually purge over 100 spammers per day, and these are the ones that percolate though the automatic defenses), we have to change our policies a bit.

Posts by new users ("Registered" users) are moderated as long as the spamming weather is bad.
"Registered" users become "Regular" users once their first post is accepted (with the privileges you are used to)
All current "Registered" users have been promoted "Regulars", so there should be no impact (tell us otherwise)

Now hopefully taking some popcorn and watching the moderation queue...

Would it not be useful that the "Trusted members" by reporting a spam whatever a comment or an user (nothing else, just the "Spam" option in the "Report" button), those are "on hold" or flagged as spammer and cannot be visible until Admins have a look at it?

I mean today.... pffff, that " Temu " sh!t everywhere

IMHO denying an IP is not really working if they use a VPN or live in India, Indonesia, etc...

Also while I'm here, I have a question, if we report a "user/member" spammer, do we need also to report all their spam threads?
I'm asking because today I don't feel to click on each and every single spam they posted, I did report the users, though

I think we are subject to a turing test or alike to see if we can detect or not that AI

More seriously, I think that we have an AI as member using the pseudonym of a Bollywood singer "nehakakar", look at ALL "her" posts > https://www.gimp-forum.net/search.php?ac...r&uid=8170

1) - In "her" profile: Operating system Window XP (no GIMP version), but "her" second post is about AppImage over snap, yes I know that means nothing, but "her" post add absolutely nothing to the topic, and her "I also prefer using trusted sources for downloads to keep things secure." looks 100% AI to me (the remaining of "her" comment as well).

2) - Necroposter, ALL "her" comments are on threads many months or years old.

3) - Comment construction: ALL are a successive short sentences, very positive, but adding nothing to the context or meaningless or over the top for nothing like "her" last post, last sentence "It’s exciting to see how GIMP will adapt to these changes!"

I could continue, but it was just some of my thoughts...

Why isn't my avatar displaying anywhere? I just get a placeholder image instead on my avatar. The jpg I used was 90x90 pixels and 21kb in size.

I think probably this site and gimp-chat.net are associated. So I tried to make an account on there yesterday. Ostensibly I succeeded and posted something on there. But when I went back there today there I just got a "this account isn't verified" message without any options to do anything about it. The message also said to "contact an admin" but there was no such option anywhere on the site. The post I'd made had been inexplicably removed also. Without further knowledge I assume that website is just broken and not fit for use. Does anyone have any further ideas about how to fix that though?
