Adding Plugins in Windows 10 - meetdilip - 01-31-2021

It was easy in Linux, the only thing to do was download the App image with plugins. Now I deeply miss Resysnthesiser and other plugins that came with the App Image. It would be nice to know where to find them and how to add it inside GIMP for Windows 10.

There is a Windows 64 bit resynthesizer here:
https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Resynthisizer-Heal-Selection-Runtime-Error?pid=12687#pid12687 either of the options work for me.
and they go in the Gimp user profile: C:\Users\"yourname"\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\plug-ins

Appdata is a hidden folder see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028316/windows-view-hidden-files-and-folders-in-windows-10

Gmic plugin: use the Windows installer from the gmic site. http://www.gmic.eu That correctly installs in the above folder.

You can also put your plug-ins in any folder of your own choice (more visible, or shared between Gimp installations, or part of your backups...) and add that folder in Edit>Preferences>Folders>Plug-ins.

Thanks. If you don't mind, any safe and reliable source to download Resynthesiser and other App Image associated plugins ?

Successfully added Resynthesiser. The custom folder method works too. Thanks Smile
