Copying Alpha Channel From One Image to Another

Hello, I would like to copy the alpha channel of a layer in another image to a target image. Wondering what the steps are, thank you!

The basics.
For the image with the alpha channel
Layer -> Mask -> Add layer Mask and choose Layer's Alpha Channel
Select the mask in the layers dock (selected it has a white border, not always obvious depending on the alpha )
Copy the mask.

For the destination image.
Layer -> Mask -> Add Layer Mask and choose Black (full transparency)
Select the mask in the layer dock and Edit -> Paste then anchor it.
Apply the layer mask Layer -> Mask -> Apply Layer Mask

This a 30 second demo with a very obvious alpha channel.
