Hello.

New user.

Windows 8.1 Professional

Gimp 2.10.8

Resynthesizer give no version

The error happens on some images and not others.

The error happens at different places in an image.

When the error happens, it seems to create a new layer. This layer consists of the selected area. 

Very odd.

It would be nice to know what it is about an image/spot in an image - that causes this.

Please let me know if I can provide any useful information.

Is this using the resynthesizer plugin ie. Filters -> Map -> Resynthesize
or
One of the associated plugins "Heal Selection / Heal Transparency.." (there are several)

A screenshot of the whole Gimp interface might help.
