I did not use GIMP, I just opened each image in a new tab and switching between them at 1-2 second interval, it was like an animated gif 1-2 second frame and it become pretty obvious after 2-3 switches where were made the differences, you cannot miss them, 10 seconds max to spot them all
It's an old technique that has been used used by astronomers for centuries. This is how Pluto was discovered, in particular. A variant is fake on picture in each eye, any object that has moved between the two picture appears to be closer or farther.
