equivalent psp filter- maximum and minimum
#1
I don't get the option to create a thread in the other area's, must be a new member limitation, so here goes and I hope this is the right place.

In photoshop there is a filter called "Other" that contains the following filters:

Custom, High pass, Maximum and Minimum and Offset.

I have not been using Gimp for long so don't know if there an equivalent for these filters already  in the software, but with different names, or do I have to add a plug in or script to add them?

If the latter can someone tell me which ones I need please?

THanks in advance.

This is the correct section

Possibly this:

1) High Pass, much used for sharpening an image see: https://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-filter-high-pass.html

2) Maximum and Minimum, a maybe since I do not use PS but..
Morphological Filters: Minimum and Maximum The most common morphological operations are minimum (also known as erosion) and maximum (dilation) filters.

So try: Filters -> Generic -> Erode or Filters -> Generic -> Dilate

3) Offset
So try: Layer -> Transform -> Offset

For Maximum and Minimum Erode and Dilate are the short-cut/quick version of Value Propagate, if you want to work with options the "full" filter is at Filters > Distort > Value Propagate..
