what are you using to light the negatives when you are taking the picture,.
Negatives need to be lighten underneath, if you use a camera or a smartphone.
A bit like layers... At the bottom a light / light source, above your negative, and above your camera/smartphone
In other words what are you using behind the negatives to light them up or what is your light source?

On the bottom is a Tablet, the light box
The film holder, holding the negatives is above the Tablet, at about 1" distance
The smartphone is on top, shooting the negatives
