Just one question, what do you do with it once it is rendered on the path ?

Rich2005, basically I can reproduce almost all the steps you demonstrate in the .mp4 of the previous post; just differing after clicking the 'OK' button, which while for you it works, for me an error occurs.

I just tried to reproduce what was presented by Ofnuts in post http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=17235#p236448 ,
But after it didn't work out, I was in doubt as to why; A plugin limitation? Incorrect use of plugin on my part?

As can be seen in the image below I can apply these emojis/emoticons to paths via:
1- Layer - Text along Path;
2- Font Slab plugin

But with ofn-text-along-path this doesn't seem to be possible; at least for me..

It seems to be some limitation of either my Win10 system or my version of Gimp, je ne sais pas.

But ok, if there's no way, that's fine.

Thanks guys for your attention!

Looks like a Windows thing. A Win10 (VM), a regular Gimp 2.10.24 , NotoColorEmoji_WindowsCompatible.ttf from https://github.com/googlefonts/noto-emoji/

Put into ofn-text-along-path and get those error messages.
