Gimp 3.0 i edit a b&w using colors, shadows and highlights, the photo still looked b&w after but when i export as jpeg and print the blacks are browns. Any help? Thanks

Thanks Long time ago, using linux and a Canon printer blacks printed a muddy-brown. In that case it was the rubbish Cannon printer driver which refused to use the black ink cartridge. In theory cyan + magenta + yellow = black but it does not, so the printer has the black ink as well. That story is not a lot of help to you. One thing to try is make sure the image is in greyscale mode before exporting. That might force the printer to use black only, the same as when you print a text document. ...then Have you tried printing with some other application ? If the same result, then make sure the printer driver is the latest for Win11 and check the ink level for black. |
