BIMP Inquiry
#1
I am seeking help setting up an automation BIMP procedure to process simple gray scale files in the following way... Hopefully the illustration will help explain.

The GIMP process I need is the following simple process...
  1. Open gray scale image
  2. Select by color
  3. Stroke selection
  4. Save file

Image #1 GIMP Process Setting: Please see attached "GIMP Process Image" for desired settings reference.

Image #2 GIMP Process Setting: Please see attached "Desired Result Image" for desired result.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions, advice, or direction you can provide.

Regards,
Mike

Unfortunately not possible the way described using BIMP. There are no "Other Gimp Procedure" options for your method. Plus none of the GEGL operations are usable.

Are all the images similar to the one you posted? Would it be possible to overlay a mask to give the required result? (it would be much easier)

However, using BIMP it might be possible like this:

Using all 'Other Gimp Procedures"

Convert from grayscale to RGB (need for the blur)
Apply Tileable blur (the only one that is not GEGL)
Apply Threshold
Convert back to Grayscale.

Possible variable values shown in the attached Gimp file. (.xcf.gz - opens straight up in Gimp)

Instead of Edit>Stroke selection with a 60px line, you could just Select>Grow by 30px and bucket-fill the selection.
