eps file won't open
#1
I want to add an eps file (ISBN #) to my gimp document (book cover).  I open file>open> choose the eps file >get the dialog box about settings>click import> then I have a dialog box that says gimp cannot interpret post script files.  I'm using gimp 2.10.38
Thank you in advance

There is a post about eps here: https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Ghosts...ntegration

One problem is your MacOS, does it have ghostscript installed and if it is there, is it compatible ?

One thing you could try is rename the file.eps to file.pdf and see if that opens.

It is probably a small image, for a one-off use an online converter, preferably to svg but it might just be a bitmap in a eps wrapper so go for a png. Try some thing like https://www.freeconvert.com/eps-converter
