Changing skin tone

Is there any method to change the skin fairness of a person from dark to fair and vice versa ? Since there was a method which very easy to emboss one face over another, I was wondering whether something like that is available for the skin tone as well.

Just for a bit of fun  
There is a hidden tool in Gimp 2.10 "seamless clone" Normally not activated you need to start Gimp in a terminal (one time only) using

gimp --show-playground

That gets an entry 'playground' in Edit -> Preferences where you can enable it.  Ok the preferences, close Gimp down and restart in your usual way for it to become effective.
