Outline of a shape
#1
Hi All

Is there way to take an outline of a shape then copy that so you just have the outline?

So example would be if you had a solid square, and you take a outline of that so you just have shape of the square. Hope that makes sense.

Please post a typical example.

A solid square for example is selected using either color select or fuzzy select but it is rarely as simple as that.

Like I said very rarely that simple but.

Choose the color select tool
Click inside the shape to create a selection.
Go to a new empty layer
Use Edit -> Stroke Selection with a suitable line width.

Can you post your image on http://www.imgur.com or maybe dropbox then post the link
