Does anyone know how to fix the layer mode menu not displaying correctly? (2.10.8)
#1
Took a screen shot of how this layer mode menu is being displayed. Been looking for a solution but haven't seen any posts regarding this. I've also been watching tutorials while trying to learn the program and I haven't seen the same issue replicated. I'm new to Gimp so I apologize if this is an easy fix.

I'm running a fresh install of Gimp 2.10.8 on a new laptop running Windows 10.

Thanks!

I also posted this to r/gimp before I knew about this forum; you may come across this twice. If a solution is found I'll be sure to update both posts! Smile

Yep, that is an answer. For others this is the issue and....

....I would not worry too much about it. The pop-up layer-mode menu orientates itself (roughly) alongside the existing layer mode. (where the mouse click is)
So Normal first in the list needs all that padding. Some other layer mode, padding not required.

If you really do not like it, try the Windows system theme and the pop-up is different again or move the layers tab up to the top dock.
Edit: ie same layout as Gimp 2.8

Thank you for the replies! Yes, the Gimp twitter has the a post regarding the issue ( https://twitter.com/GIMP_Official/status...3468267520 ). Everything works as it should, it's all visual and honestly doesn't bother me. I saw a tutorial on youtube of someone using the dark theme where it opened as a drop down and thought maybe there was a setting I needed to change within Gimp or Windows.

Thanks again for the help!
