#1
I installed GIMP 2.10.12 and the tool's icons appear empty. Please tell me how to correct this situation. Thanks

There's a couple of bugs reported on Windows operating systems:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/1563
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/2459

Have you tried changing the icon theme to use the Legacy theme? Edit>Preferences>Interface>Icon Theme as that uses bitmap image files instead of svg format images.

Using a snap version? Something like this bug https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/3217

Try a flatpak Gimp see: https://www.gimp.org/downloads/

I used that in kubuntu 16.04 and it worked ok.
