Font doesn't appear after adding it
#1
Hello. I added a font and refreshed the font list. It didn't appear. I restarted GIMP. It still didn't appear. So I just gave up and used Pixlr. The next day I opened GIMP and the font was there. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

No replies ? Who knows with Windows Wink It could be the way Windows 10 now installs fonts

This from https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperie...ild-17704/ about half way down the page.
----------
Font installation for non-admin users - the basics
If you’re a non-admin user and often need to install (or uninstall) fonts, then that could be a big hassle.
.....we needed to make changes deep in Windows to allow a font to be installed for a specific user rather than system-wide. (all about Windows Store & $$$ - rich)
.....now there is another option: “Install” allows any user, including non-admin users, to install a font for their own use.

---------
I think these fonts now install in C:\Users\"yourname"\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts From reports these fonts do not always show in all applications, Gimp must be one.

If you do not need a font for other applications, only for use with Gimp, Please, please put the font file (something.ttf / something.otf) in the Gimp user fonts folder C:\Users\"yourname"\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\fonts

...instead of Windows "click-wish-install" Wink
