Hey Rich, sorry for going out of bounds a bit. And thank you for your kind warning, and not simply bulldozing my thread.
Funny, at first my brain interpreted your warning as a copyright strike(i think my brain needs help).
There is always a bit of a danger to stray into politics when attempting social commentary, however i think i have to agree with you that i have crossed that line.
I realize that some of my posts lately could be considered low effort. Sadly, I have just not had as much time for GIMP lately, and in retrospect, i kind of agree that it would have been better just to skip some of these low-effort GIMP experiences i chose to do(maybe just go hide in closet instead). On top of that, I kind of regret now some of the little bread-crumbs of political commentary i sprinkled into some of my posts. Yes, it is shocking stuff, but it is nowhere near the full story, and therefore not very valuable to whoever reads it.
I kind of already realized this thread was getting worse, and my recent posts were more reactive and not as thought provoking as my initial post. However my intention with this last post was to try and find a good stopping point, to end on a high note, with something where my opinion has not changed at all over the years, and I have thought about the subject for a long time(that is apposed to some other topics like who i voted for or what tech platform i used). For the most part i still stand by all my graphics from the original post i made on this thread in 2024(with maybe a couple exceptions where i think i missed the mark a tiny bit).
Anyway, I really think i should stop here. Please don't let me post anything else on this thread again - and maybe not anywhere on the site for a little while! I've got a blog, so i really should be writing all my commentary over there anyway. Here is the link to my latest post on my Approval graphic:

p.s. i hope to return to gimp-forum some day after i have had the chance to learn more about scripting and maybe have something interesting to show.
Take Care!
thanks again!
