Gimp 3.0.4 Levels takes a long time to come up

I was hoping for an update to this.  Have not experienced this before this latest upgrade.  You open the levels screen and it could take literally 5-minutes before it shows a histogram or your able to hit auto.  I have a gaming machine.  Maybe this has been mentioned 42 times already.

I tested this on Gimp 3.0.4 (windows 10, all in one PC) and 'Colours/Levels' was activated straight away and I was also able to use 'Auto Input Levels' straight away. Is there another program running when you use Gimp?

You mean this is a plug-in problem or something?  How would a plugin affect my Gimp-Levels screen.

I think what denzjos was meaning when he said 'program' was; "Do you have another Program running like a game, music/video program or another graphics program etc at the same time thus giving gimp less RAM to use"?
