Gimp Animation
#1
Hi all, new member here.

I wanted to ask, are there any decent Gimp animation tutorials out there?  Any that go through the whole GAP package step by step?  YouTube has lots of 'how to do a particular effect', but I can't seem to find anything that takes you step by step, explaining all the features.  I'm finding in general that Gimp tutorials tend to be pretty poor.  You're told to 'do this, then do that, then tick that' without hardly any information on WHY you're doing it!

I'd be happy to pay for an online course if anything is out there.

Thanks in advance for any responses!

Everything for GAP is ancient. Documentation in the form of text files can goes 10 years or more. Never been updated.

You probably already have the meagre set that comes with the photocomix Windows Gimp 2.6 bundle

The html file starts like this with one of the text files on top. http://i.imgur.com/1NpCHBK.jpg

A commercial course on using GAP? Never heard of one.

Dive in, use GAP, when you get stuck, search for an answer, in other words, what you are already doing.

Thank you Rich, it surprises me because GAP looks functionally quite rich. Not saying it's ultra powerful but I find it incredible that there's quite a lot to it and yet so little documentation.

I also tried Synfig but I'm finding it quite buggy on Windows 10.
