Gimp Panorama Plugin
#1
I just installed Linux Mint 21 x64 with Gimp 2.10.30. I would like to install a panorama plugin in Gimp. I see three choices Pandora, Hugin, and Stitch Panorama.  Pandora looks like it may be out of date, Will it work with Gimp 2.10? Stitch Panorama requires Gimp be compiled with python support. Is the version of Gimp that comes with Mint 21 have python support?
Has anyone used these on Gimp 2.10 and what were your impressions?

Personally I find Hugin works well (as a stand-alone program - I don't think that there is a Hugin GIMP plug-in but am ready to be corrected)

Pandora does work with Gimp 2.10 and best when the images are reasonably regular. I did this one way back in Gimp 2.8 https://youtu.be/zBma6CT3mjY Over long (6 mins) but it does give some tips on use.

I was never very keen on stitch-panorama but it does work (sometimes)
Add python2 with a small Appimage launcher. https://github.com/TasMania17/Gimp-Appim...-for-Linux This is my kubuntu 22.04 First without the launcher then with python2. https://i.imgur.com/fWY3ezt.mp4 as a demo.

Hugin will align and blend images, (a bit more than a plain Gimp layermask blend), Stand-alone but you can do a bit of pre-processing the images using Gimp.

Thanks
I installed Pandora but have yet to try it out. Glad to hear that it works.
