My browser is not so picky Wink

From your file I think it is a font formatting issue.

Too many screenshots for this forum (5) so I have doubled them up.

(1) Using a text-info plugin, I see you have re-used the Chinese Rocks font instead of starting a new text block with the Kenyan Coffee font. Easily done. Avoid changing all the text using the on canvas tool. It is just for highlights, small adjustments. Use the text tool options.
(2) Then because that Chinese Rocks font is not installed here, I get that default replacement font 'Standard Symbols'

(3) I can make a correction by selecting all the text.
(4) ..and applying the Kenyan Coffee font from the Text Tool Options

(5) There other issues, That block of non-printable characters for example are tabs. Why do you need tabs there ?

I think I understand what you pointed out. At point 5 I don't know why I have those TABs there, I usually just skip the line.
Today my day is ending, I will apply the suggested changes tomorrow and hope it normalizes.

Again thanks a lot for the help.

Good Morning.

I followed the steps above, used the text editor, started a new text using the editor, no Ctrl+C/Ctrl+v and put the correct font and size information. Yet the same thing happens. I even tried using the option to load a text file, but the same thing still happens.

I appreciate everyone's help, but I'll continue what I'm doing without using this text setting.

I can easily show you what I mean about the text formatting, easy to see when you select all of the text.
Wants to be Kenyan Coffee but is Chinese Rocks Wink

35 seconds if you can see it. https://i.imgur.com/KeTnZAp.mp4

So I did as you showed but the error keeps occurring. I don't know if I'm being too early and not doing something that's too much in my face, or if there's really a very bizarre bug occurring.

I tried again, this time using the xcf provided in post #11.
I could not reproduce the problems displayed by DiegoEmanoel.

What I found strange is that only in the texts contained in this XCF I was unable to change the font in the way it is usually done with the Gimp (Text tool Options), only manually typing the name of the desired font on the canvas tool was I able to change fonts.

Other options (Line Spacing, Text Spacing, Indentation, Text Justification, etc) all worked without problems.

It may have gone unnoticed by some, due to the language barrier, but one of the problems reported here is the breaking of words, in English it would be something like:

From:
It's your moment in the game, it starts when the previous player has performed all their actions and ends when you don't have any possible actions, or don't want to perform them, and you've already faced the Zombies present in your current Location.

To:
It's your mom ent in the g ame, it starts when the previous player has performed all their actions and en ds whe n yo u don' t ha ve any pos sible actions, or don't want to perform them, and you've already faced the Zom bies present in your current Location.

The problem still is reproduction of the text that breaks at certain characters, or is it random ? I just can not get that fault.
It could be a general software/hardware issue, I have on old netbook that will move the cursor to a new position as you are typing. That is a linux xubuntu 18.04 and a Acer c720 chromebook, I would not expect that in Windows.

I disagree that changing the font can only be done using the on-canvas dialogue.

However, try this one, https://filedn.com/lkb9dw6mEfXSsOu9uKLaM...201.xcf.gz I will leave there for a few days.

@DiegoEmanoel I put the right side text in a layer group to make it easy to check. The only real comment is the hard encoded 'bullets' You might be changing those every time you adjust the text.

I'm following what rich2005 gave me and setting the text exactly as I want it before writing and using the editor for typing. And it looks like this is preventing the bug from happening again. I still haven't gone back to try to correct what I've already done, but in the new cases everything seems normal.

Thanks again for the help.

Hey guys, I've been facing the same problem for a little while and I know when it started doing it.

I was trying to get the old newsprint plug-in by installing an older version of Gimp following a step-by-step , and then re-installing the new one, and it's when it started doing this.

Everytime I set the text as justified, it becomes all randomly spaced as soon I start a new paragraph in the same text box (the first paragraph is always perfect), and it's worse and worse everytime I make a new paragraph.

When I open and old file where everything worked, it messes up the whole text block as soon as I click on it to edit it. WHile it worked just fine in the past.

The solution I'm using is making a new text calc for each paragraph, which is not great to space everything evenly and requires a lot of editing time when I want to make a single change to the font size.

I am using GIMP 2.10.32 (revision 1)

From my downloads history, it looks like I installed GIMP 2.10.12 to get the Newsprint plug-in, but I have no idea what previous version of Gimp I had before that. This previous version did not have this problem. Is there any way to locate a trace of that on my pc (windows)?

[Just a note on the first problem in the first post of this topic. It is still happening to me (and thank you for your help last time!), but I've noticed that it only happens when I use italic. If the word in italic is at the far right of the box, it's going to get cut a little bit. If it's on the left side, it pushes the whole text box on the right and each line gets cut off.]
