On Arch-based systems like EndeavourOS, you can ensure Ghostscript is installed by running 'sudo pacman -S ghostscript' in the terminal. As mentioned, since EPS files are vector-based, try adjusting the resolution (PPI) setting in the import dialog box rather than the dimensions; increasing or decreasing the PPI will scale the pixel size of the image accordingly.
