How to create an emoji for WApp
#1
Video
Hey,

I was wondering about an emoji with a can in his hand downing it. Unfortunately my sketching skills can be assumed as less than poor.

My approach would be like putting layers of already existing emojis and a can together so that the style corresponds to the style already applied within WApp emojis.

Any hints are highly appreciated ?

Best regards,
Ice

You can look on the internet and search for 'emoji with beer can' and replace the can with whatever you want

I am not into social anything so whatsapp style ? Assuming much the same as any other emoji, however.

Do you have an emoji font installed ? You need one for Gimp. You can get a font here:
https://github.com/googlefonts/noto-emoj...main/fonts
For copy / paste there are on-line sites example: https://emojikeyboard.org/ or https://getemoji.com/
..and you can paste as text into Gimp.
Then lose the text properties and do your editing from there. https://i.imgur.com/6XaRwvw.jpg depends on your editing skills.

A better bet is not Gimp, it is the vector drawing application Inkscape
The same place as the font but with lots of additional assets (png's / svg's ):
https://github.com/googlefonts/noto-emoj...s/main.zip 176 MB download.
There are thousands of files. You need some experience of finding the emoji numbers
In the svg section this one I used emoji_u1f468_1f3fb_200d_1f527.svg
Somewhat easier to manipulate as a vector, adjust hand and add a (svg) can. https://i.imgur.com/aHOM8Gg.jpg
..but you will not learn that overnight either and whichever way it is not an emoji, it is an image
