How to get rid of this grid when i try to scale a layer?

It's just in the way, I tried defaulting window preferences and restarting yet it still does this

Change the line spacing to more than 3 (maybe 20 or 30) or use one of the other options.

Is there a way to eliminate it entirely? it never used to do that

Ahh nvm..i found it, selected no guide from that drop down menu. Also, the image opacity (the bar above it) was low which is why I couldn't really see it, pulled it up to 100 and now it's back to normal!

Only does what you tell it to do Wink

The little box Guides is a drop down menu. Top option is No guides use that.
