How to give fabric folds?
#1
I would like to check how I leave a cloth, a quilt, as in the example in the attached image, with that aspect of folds, so that it looks natural, and not a flat image. Both linearly, as at the head, as circular, as on the bedspread in the side image of my example attached.

This one is mine that I want to give this double effect:

Thank you in advance.  Cool

Maybe this can help you : https://software-tips.wonderhowto.com/ho...p-0120398/
Make a layer as described in section 4 and use it as a bump map on your fabric layer.

Thanks, but it's not exactly what I want, I found a tutorial of what I want in Photoshop, but I couldn't adapt it to Gimp, if someone can make the equivalence, this is it:

Using Gimp 2.10.18  A little more hands on than PS but more individual. Your work rather than someone else.

1. Open the image  Add a new layer. Layer -> New layer Fill the new layer with white. Use a large brush and paint in some 'folds'

2. Apply a strong gaussion blur Filters -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur about 50 with Abbyss policy set to white

3. Turn the visibility of the top layer off. Make the bottom layer active. Open the Displace  filter `Filters -> Map -> Displace'  Click on the top question mark icon. In the layers pop-up select your folds layer.

4. With the folds as Aux 1 Input adjust the sliders a small amount 10 or 12 (depends on the image) and Ok to complete

5. Back to the folds layer, make it visible, set the mode to Multiply, reduce the layer opacity to suit.

Thank you! It really is not the same proposal as the PS tutorial, but it is even better for having autonomous name to make the folds wherever you want!
