How to increase tool icons size and with colors
#1
New to GIMP. Started with 2.8 last year, just upgraded to 2.10.4 today.

I have tried to increase the tool icons size by checking the preferences etc. No luck. Annoying when the icons are so small.

Noted in 2.10.4, the icons are not colored anymore. How can I bring back the colored icons? Easier to pick the right icons when they are in colors.

Many thanks.

Are you using a HD monitor? The regular icon sets are ok for say 1920x1080 displays.

You did try this in Edit -> Preferences https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Gimp-2...01#pid7901

Change from the default set to colour there as well.

There are larger icon sets available see: https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-GIMP-2...ons-Themes

Be warned that the larger icon themes were specifically for GIMP 2.8 and that using the Icon Theme preferences set to Large and Huge will give you the same sized toolbox icons.

Thanks.

I am using a 27" 4K monitor.

Will try out what you have suggested.

Tried what was suggested. Got what I need, size and color.

Time to start with GIMP lesson 1 to get up to speed. Ha.

Thanks.

I am having the same problem with no results. I cannot find anything about my monitor except it is PnP. I have Gimp 2-10 and windows 10.
