I ran Oilify (G'MIC) on a 8688x5792 image (with a new, powerful computer) and it took 25 minutes? Should something like that take as long?

Plenty of things are quadratic (twice the pixels, 4 times longer) and your image is huge.

Good to know! I haven't used Photoshop in a very long time. Do you think that gimp compares to it as far as speed of crunching? Just curious.
