Plug-in is not returned via Plug-in Browser
#1
Hello!
Why when accessing: ➤ Help - Plug-in Browser and typing luminosity or even ofn-luminosity there is no return from this search for the plugin Ofn-luminosty-masks?

I have other plugins with that name and they all show up when I do this search, except Ofn-luminosty-masks.

Ok, I know where this plug-in is, that's not the case, it's more out of curiosity than a real need.
I found that all plugins could be found through this search.

What would be the explanation?

Thx.

For me, ofn's luminosity masks show up under the Procedure Browser search, but none under the other searches.

A top secret plugin?

I don't have the luminosity plugin but I tried with Ofnuts' tartan plugin. In the menu it is at

Filters > Artistic > Generate tartan pattern...

The Procedure Browser with search "ofn" finds it.

The Plug-in Browser with search "ofn" does not find it. But with searches "tartan" or "generate" or even "pattern" it finds it. So, perhaps you can try to search with "luminosity"?

Maybe just the search term is a little restrictive.

It was actually what I had done, I searched for luminosity. But via Help - Plug-in Browser nothing returned from the search.

I didn't know this "Procedure Browser" option, I don't think I've ever used it before.

But after seeing Rich2005's post, I conclude that my situation is the same as yours.

I'm not sure what the restrictive character would be. No attempts made by me resulted in a positive search (ofn; ofn-lumi; luminosity; etc).

I've always searched using the Plug-in Browser but it looks like the Procedure Browser was promoted from this episode on.

Thank you all for your attention!

Strange. I had to download the plugin just to try this. For me "luminosity" in the Plug-in Browser does find the plugin.

The plugin browser looks for the names of the menu entries, and many entries created by ofn-luminosity-mask don't carry "lumininosity" in their name (like DDD, LL...). The plugin identifers on the other hand (as found in the procedure browser) are all called ofn-luminosity-something.
