Removing Timestamp from Photos?

Hi 
I've just downloaded the latest version of GIMP for Mac to remove the timestamps from a set of photos. However I can't seem to find the Heal Selection option? When I go to Filters > Enhance the Heal Selection option is not there? any help appreciated.owever I can't seem to find the heal selection option when I go to Filters

This is part of the "resynthesize" plugin (in other words, an add-on). You can hunt for the OSX version and install it, but it an be simpler to get an installation package from partha.com and reinstall GIMP. Partha's builds include the popular plugins.

Heal Selection is not a standard Gimp plug-in. It is a python plug-in used in conjunction with a compiled plug-in resynthesizer and these have to be added to your Gimp installation.

You problem is using OSX and finding a suitable version of resynthesizer that will work with your Gimp installation.

Not sure, but I think the Partha version McGimp 2.8.14 might have it already installed http://www.partha.com
