Rubber stamp seal
#1
Is there any easy method to create a rubber stamp seal other than drawing everything from scratch ? It would be nice if we can customise the text and colour. Thanks.

Hi, thanks. I got there through their YouTube video. There were comments that say it is not compatible with 2.10. Do you think I should try ?

From memory there was a really old procedure that probably does not work any more. Always try and see. These are relatively recent from 'Tin' c.2019.  Used #4 and #5 A bit on the large size 1000x1000 so scaled down.

I have not yet found the file distressed.png to produce an example. But it definitely works with the 2.10 versions.

PS: I found distressed.pgn

But about Rich2005's comment, I don't know which version I am using. But if mine works, possibly the most current one should be ok too.

Thanks Rich2205!
But I have the distressed.png, I just couldn't remember where I had archived it. But I found them now.

I also found that my version in use and working is:
# rubber_stamp.py Release 4

This time I skipped the plugin but used the " distressed " image. I drew the stamp and then applied the " distorted image " and colour. I will try the plugin and see how it works on my PC.

What to search in Google for more " distressed " images like this ? Thanks.

Make your own. Search for grunge brushes best place is deviantart. You have to sign up these days for a download due to the evil trawling photo bots.

Most are PS .abr brushes although some are Gimp .gbr
A starter https://www.deviantart.com/keepwaiting/a...-124704421 and https://www.deviantart.com/project-gimpb...s-70037228

The rubber stamp v5 has an inverse switch, although easy anough to do manually. Colorized this one.

To make something look distressed, you just add a mask, fill it with plasma (push Turbulence), and play with Curves:
