Single Axis movements
#1
In Inkscape, we can use CTRL to make single-axis movements. Is there any method to move horizontal only or vertical only in 2.10.22 ?

Thanks.

Using the move tool ? selection or layer ?

On my computer the cursor arrow keys move one pixel and also more (depending on zoom level) with shift+(keyboard arrow key)

Move tool. I try to align icons in the same line/level but since the Move is not along a single axis the whole layout gets itself a bend. Thanks.

Also with the CTRL.
First start the move with the Move Tool, then press CTRL.

Maybe an alternative to the move tool, the align tool along a path (or a selection)
