TGA files not working
#1
I'm trying to open TGA files in gimp 2.10, but the picture comes out almost entirely white when I do. how do I fix this? I know the file isn't corrupt or anything, so I don't know what's happening.

A quick search shows a few recent bug reports with TGA files as the subject. Nothing consistent, 16 bit files showing as an empty file. This one about indexed files https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/1111 re-opened a few months ago. Plenty going back a few years.

I pulled out some TGA files from an old archive, RGB 8bit and they open ok using linux and Gimp 2.10.30 Using a file viewer XnViewMP no difference how they display.

Does the file have an alpha channel ? That seems a possible source

Maybe if you give a few details of the TGA format, where they come from & post one as an example if possible.

Can you put an example in a ZIP file an attach it here?
