Text hiding in gimp
#1
Please help..!
I’m creating Certificates and when I export as a pdf text shows up that is not on the certificate. I looked at every layer individually by hiding layer visibility and I can’t find it it’s not there. Please help! I need the certificates by next weekend…
Thank you in advance

If you are starting from scratch (or not) and have several layers including text layers.

A bit of a guess here. You could post your troublesome .xcf for better advice.

1. Gimp does not include the font metrics in the PDF. Open in a computer where the font is not installed and it renders as the default font.
This example is a font not normally found on a computer.

2. Save your work as a Gimp xcf saving all layers.
However before exporting as a PDF flatten the image to a single layer. It is now a raster image and will display correctly.
