Trouble with Instagram profile picture

Hello, there! I'd like some help setting an image for a Instagram profile. Everytime I upload it the image get distorted around the white name and the inside picture. I looked for some tutorials on Google and so on, tried some filters but I can't solve it. The image resolution is 1080x1080. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance!

Can you pose the original image and a screenshot of the result. It's hard to tell if what you posted is the original image.

Cropped to a circle, yes, but it has been the "in" thing with "social" sites (and some less social ones) for several years now. Typically they crop a centered circle whose diameter is the smallest dimension of the image provided.

However it seems that 1080x1080 pix is a photo size not a profile picture size. Much too large, Instagram will scale and (1) introduce blurring (2) introduce color artifacts. The following seems to be reasonable. Sizing your Instagram profile picture In the Instagram app on your phone your profile photo will be: 100 x 100 1:1 aspect ratio (square) In the Instagram web app your profile photo will be: 180x180 pixels 1:1 aspect ratio (square) Finally the actual file Instagram stores is 320x320 pixels and 1:1. Because of this, ideally you should upload a 320x320 pixel image so that it will be crisp even in the desktop app and as future-proof as possible for Instagram updates. from https://logo.com/blog/how-to-make-a-logo...ep-by-step worth a read seems more sensible than most. I rebuilt your logo before seeing the original Nothing wrong with your image except size. The other only comment is Gimp 2.10 and small white text. It is horrible.
