I've also tweaked to all grey theme for my husband, so he can more easily see where is what and where the borders are etc. I have not made it in a theme of its own though, but messed around with the system files. (gimp.css in the user folder does not work reliably, looks like it's overwritten by system files).
Did you do your theme as stand-alone? What when they add more features to GIMP? You'll have to update the theme then accordingly?
I'm still thinking about how to do the adaptions without the hassle on updates.
